Born and raised in the New York City suburb of New Rochelle,
Kevin "Dr. C" Crutchfield began his musical career singing in his
father's Baptist church, and learning from his hard working and dedicated
mother the ways of the world. From the start everybody knew Kevin was a born
leader and it's no surprise that his career as a lead singer soon followed.

From local clubs,
schools and entertainment-oriented events
and all shapes and sizes, Kevin has grown both in stature and reputation for
his work as a soulful, blues man, and when the need presents itself,
a rock'n'roller with tremendous range, power and scope. Of primary note is his
ability to improvise and interact with the audience -- and his work as a
studio musician also shows this tremendous skill.
Bobby Mayo one of our generation's most accomplished
and well traveled musicians (Frampton, Hall & Oates, Foreigner) is known to
say -- "I never leave home for a gig without both my AMEX card and
Dr. C!" Doc's work with Samba, the Hip Pocket Band, Bergers and Mayo, the
ACE All Star Band, in addition to studio work with Matt Baxter, Matt
Noble and many others places him among the region's most sought after
studio musicians.
