About Dr. C

Known far and wide as the "Rock 'n' Roll Doctor " for his vocal prowess, stage antics and audience rapport, Dr. C (nee Kevin Crutchfield) has a story to tell -- every night he's onstage that is. That story is heard in his smooth, distinctive vocal sound that fluidly merges blues, soul, rock and pop styles into one highly original perscription. He is a Doctor after al!Of Dr. C, Crystal Taliefero (Billy Joel, Springsteen, Mellencamp) says "Doc's among the best solo singers I know " and the late Bob Mayo (Frampton, Foreigner) often said of his good pal, "I Never leave home without him!"Doc's performances are highly cutstomized to each show. Like all classic front men (and women) he lives for the audience and the audience lives for him!In addition to his lead and background vocals, Doc also plays percussion, timbales and piano on stage. Doc's first Solo CD, House Calls, was recorded in Nashville in 2003 with Grammy Nominee Tom Hambridge on drums and producing, the late genius Bob Mayo on keys, guitars and vocal and longtime friend and bassist/executive producer John Heithaus. The CD also features Miss Wendy Moten (the Memphis Diva) on lead vocals, Crystal Taliefero and Jim Horn, the legendary sax man . He performs in the NY City area often with the Hip Pocket Band and many others and, also, with the Superstar Factory All Stars across the US, Canada and Mexico.
